Chicago ReDesign | About | Taryn V LundHi! I’m Taryn. I blog about Interior Design and Redesign, with a focus on budget-friendly tips and ideas. I also tend to project manage everything (it’s the Virgo in me) which probably explains my deep love for Excel spreadsheets.

I love offering my readers design and color inspiration, keeping you informed about design trends, providing budget-friendly product information, and letting you in on tips for managing your own design projects. See my ‘Resources’ page here.

I’m also a wife and mother trying to beautify my own home on a budget.

About Chicago ReDesign

Taryn V. Lund, Owner of Chicago ReDesign, started drawing floor plans while still in grade school, demonstrating her early passion for architecture and design. She began her varied career in the design industry in 1999, gaining experience in design, construction, and project management.  It is this experience, along with her intuitive sense of space planning, detail-oriented management skills, and neat-freak tendencies that make staging and redesign an obvious career path.

Taryn believes we are all greatly affected by our environments, and therefore great design should be affordable and accessible to all. She also strives to create spaces that are as functional as they are beautiful.

Each new design project begins with Taryn listening to and evaluating a client’s wants and needs, before offering a solution that best fits their design tastes, lifestyle, and budget. Never one to impose her own style on a client, she truly feels the design process should be collaborative and the end result should be a reflection of the client’s own personality and vision. When staging a home for sale, Taryn’s goal is to highlight a home’s positive attributes and improve a property’s appeal so that potential buyers are enthusiastic and eager to make a bid.

Taryn is a graduate of the Staging Diva Home Staging Business Training Program and holds degrees in Architecture from Ball State University. She is an avid world traveler and loves exploring the culture of design both nationally and abroad.
